Highlighted by three sold-out concerts on Saturday night, Greensboro Coliseum Complex-managed events drew 58,300 guests over the weekend (May 5-7).
Saturday night’s sold-out concerts included Latin music superstars Maná at Greensboro Coliseum, Alter Bridge at Piedmont Hall and Zach Williams at Tanger Center. In addition to the three concerts, Saturday’s events at the Coliseum Complex also included North Carolina AAU Boys and Girls Basketball at the Special Events Center, the Central Carolina Festival in the Coliseum parking lot, a STAR Aquatics meet at Greensboro Aquatic Center and the Grimsley High School prom at The Terrace. In all, Saturday’s schedule combined for seven events at seven different venues with a total attendance of 26,809.
Friday’s schedule included the Coliseum hosting two UNCG commencements (undergraduate and Bryan School), day one of the STAR Aquatics meet, the Central Carolina Festival in the parking lot and a sold-out concert by Jill Scott at Tanger Center. The busy weekend ended on Sunday with the final day of the Central Carolina Festival, AAU Basketball and the STAR Aquatics meet.
