Guiford College Bryan Series presents Amal Clooney
Amal is an Oxford and New York University-educated human rights lawyer who frequently advises governments on international law. Her clients range from political prisoners and ousted heads of state to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and the Republic of Armenia. She has held a number of posts within the United Nations, including senior adviser to Kofi Annan when he served as the UN Envoy on Syria. Born in Lebanon, she practices at Doughty Street Chambers in London.
