Aquatic Center Coming to Coliseum Complex

As voted on last night by City Council, the Greensboro Aquatic Center has been approved and will be built at the Coliseum Complex.
The 74,000-square-foot Aquatic Center will will allow the city to host high school and collegiate events, USA Swimming meets and Master’s swimming in addition, local, regional, national and international competitions. This state-of-the-art facility will bring together all major aquatic events – competitive swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and water polo – together in one venue. In addition, this dynamic facility will also serve local citizens through its diverse programming, including therapeutic rehabilitation and “Learn to Swim” classes in conjunction with the Guilford County School system.

I heard a rumor that 2012 ACC Swimming Championships are to be held at this facility. Is that true??

Short story...
I have played sports all my life. My father,Richard, Dick, Kenworthy, an ex-major baseball player,and Mother always had my brother, Kurt, and myself in the best positions and situations to be as physically fit, as possible.
I played in AAU Athletics all of my youth sport adventures. Municipal Gardens AAU Basketball Jr. Olympics from 11 years old until my senior year of HS. Our team has had multiple NBA players come out of the Municipal Gardens AAU Program. I am not 1 of them...lol
HISTORY
Municipal Gardens has earned a reputation around the country for its national champion Amateur Athletic Union ( AAU) basketball teams. Rising out of the annual Jr. Basketball League, Municipal Garden's teams earned the national championship title nine times and national championship runner up titles six times since the program started in 1955.

My Father and several gentlemen, especially Tom "RED" Taylor, Mr. Stout, & Duke Henning, to many to name, from the the early 70's until now, played a big part in building the foundation for the program. AAU Olympic rules and regulations have changed insurmountable from that time frame til now.
Our Team won National AAU titles for 7 out of our 8 years participating. We all would like to think we had something to do with some of the current rule regulations...lol
After my HS years I accepted a full ride Basketball Scholarship to Earlham College, a small private liberal arts College, making Dad bewildered while I declined Multiple Baseball scholarships due to my love for the game of basketball.
My point for the story: I have had and wanted to be in excellent physical condition my whole life and now that I am pushing 40, I believe the Fishpipe has me in, the closest I have been to, the best physical shape in my life. In my opinion, this is the greatest no to low impact workout on the planet.
Currently we own the only mobile Fishpipe unit in the World.
We can cater to you by creating demographic, marketing, revenue potential, lo-no impact workout testing and observation, and I am sure you can think of many more..
