Spanning over three centuries, Children Of All Ages have relished the arrival of The Greatest Show On Earth® to their hometown. The show comes to town in a 53-car-long steel coach and contains some of the most exotic cargo on earth. Housing artists from all over the world, accompanied by creatures large and small, the fabled Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® train is a virtual Noah's Ark!
What Triad residents will see in the streets on Monday, February 6 starting at 7:30 PM is the Grand Animal Walk of The Greatest Show On Earth. This event heralds the arrival of the sizzling, all-new 142nd Edition, DRAGONS offering nine performances at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, February 8 - 12, 2012.
The animals will be unloaded from the train beginning at approximately 7 PM near the corner of Lee Street and Binford. They will head eastward and make their way up the Lee Street extension following the railroad tracks before turning south on to Lee Street/High Point Road. With the assistance of the Greensboro Police Department to stop traffic they will cross the road and enter the Special Events Center at the coliseum.
